As already mentioned in the history of the MoStacks project has only a limited future on the UIQ3 platform because that platform will most probably die with the advent of the "unified" Symbian OS from the Symbian Foundation in about two years time.
So, as far as any project roadmap is concerned, the biggest question of them all ("Will MoStacks be ported to S60?") does not yet have an answer: I am still undecided.
But, apart from that, a few hints about the areas where I intend to improve the program:
So far it is possible to create new stacks directly on the phone itself, without the help of the Windows companion program, and also modify their structure (e.g. adding new fields to existing backgrounds), but the functions to do so are still fairly limited. Here a few improvements would already make a big difference.
MoStacks probably only needs a few clever photo import functions, e.g. "Import all pictures younger than x days/hours/minutes", in order to become a very capable photo album application, making it very easy to annotate photos with whatever info you like and easily transfer photo collections (in the form of MoStacks) to the PC. I hope I will find the time to program those import functions and open up the potential of the program in this regard.
The script language is pretty basic so far. It's still a long way to go until its power gets into the same ballpark as HyperTalk. The next big part of script functionality to implement would probably be the so-called chunk expressions (e.g. word 1 of line 5 of field "example") because they would allow quite sophisticated string manipulations in scripts.
Of course the documentation also needs improvement. There are a lot of nice features in MoStacks that are quite easy to overlook, like e.g. the possibility to navigate in a stack with the help of the scrollwheel, so complete documentation is important.
