The standard UIQ3 numeric control for whole numbers has two little arrows to the right that allow you to easily increase and decrease the value in the field by one.
Because during the implementation of MoStacks a bug in that control surfaced that made it hard to use it for MoStacks, two new controls were written, one for whole numbers and one for real numbers, that try to do one better and offer more easy input options, as shown in the following screenshots:
These controls that are specific to MoStacks have two little buttons to the right instead of arrows. Tapping them brings up a "Plus" and a "Minus" popup menu that allow you to modify the current field value in several ways:
- Directly re-setting the value to 0 or 1 / -1
- Adding or subtraction a given value
- Multiplying the value with a value, or dividing it by a value
